Special issue on Applied Sciences: “Human-Centred Design Methods: Biomechanics and Ergonomics in Industrial Design”
As Guest Editor of the Special Issue “Human-Centred Design Methods: Biomechanics and Ergonomics in Industrial Design”, in the OPEN ACCESS journal /Applied Sciences/ (ISSN 2076-3417; Impact Factor: 2.474), I take great pleasure to have you informed that this issue is open for submission. Given your innovative work in this area, we would like to enquire whether you are interested in submitting your next paper to this issue.
This special issue wants to be the place in which to share the last developed knowledge and the innovative application of theories and principles of ergonomics in industrial engineering.
To stay ahead of the competition, industry aims for products that are comfortable or that can drive the user by means of a comfortable experience. Also, the working place, in his role of environment in which the design and manufacturing activities have place, needs to be improved in order to allow health and wellness for workers. Generally, this is true for all products with which human beings interface themselves.
This special issue welcomes all papers dealing about new methods, new technologies, new developments and new findings in the field of applied ergonomics and applied biomechanics, with a special focus on the paper that deal with subjective and objective analysis through computerized simulation, experimental design, on-field experiments and statistical analysis.
Results needs to be supported by relevant statistical sample or by numerical-experimental correlated models.
In the product design area, your research fields can include body support systems, such as seats and bedding, vehicle and aircraft seats and interiors, consumer products, and more.
In the process and workplace design area, your research field can cover the ergonomics for manufacturing, human-robot cooperative systems, human in the loop, cognitive ergonomics and workplace safety.
Your topics can cover the wide range of biomechanics, physiological and psychological human-product interaction, among them product usability, fit and hold analysis, visual comfort, thermo-physiology, and perceived product quality.
